Slow post

I have been noticing lately that my computer is taking a very long time to post and doesn't always post when I press the power button. The power button does light up when I press it. I either have to keep pressing the power button or unplug the computer. When it gets to the windows boot screen my computer takes a normal amount of time to boot. What is going on
