hey guys ever so recently i have been getting many BSOD with the error code: DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION.

it usually starts with my screen freezing up and an irritating buzzing sound until the BSOD shows, i think it usually happens when i'm watching something on youtube.

I use a laptop, the Asus X555L. Are there any fixes to this problem?

under warranty, return it

had this problem when my IMC needed more voltage (ingergrated memory controller), but you cant control that on a laptop so..

maybe it is bad ram, if it has removable ram then you can get new ram, but before doing that you should run memtest

check event viewer, that's only my experiences..

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

grab a spare usb (all data on it will be gone so copy everything off of it)

download rufus (flash ISO to USB utility)

download the memtest ISO (for USB, not DVD or CD)

open rufus, select the flash drive (it might overwrite a external HDD, had that almost happen to me)

drag the ISO onto the rufus window (drag and drop)

press start

wait

plug it into the laptop

reboot

goto your UEFI (might have to google it if it doesn't appear)

boot from USB

instructions for running memtest should pop up, if confused then google it..

run it, wait for a couple of hours as it test the ram (one pass atleast, two to three for me personally)
