Yo can anyone help? Ok so I'm looking to replace my cpu watercooler its making weird sounds and I'm afaid its going to break (Swiftech H220 X2 2x120) had it about 8months or so. I'm thinking of replacing it with a high end aircooler so I don't need to worry about leaks. I'm thinking about the (be quiet! DARK ROCK PRO 3 Silentwings CPU Cooler 250W TDP) but I'm not 100% sure it will fit due to the size of the heatsink and fans. Do you guys think it will fit? I'm thinking the only problem would be the ram size since I don't belive its low profile ram. Anyways tell me what you think.

Specs:

Graphics Card: GTX 1080 HYBRID

CPU: i7‑6700K running stock speed (4.0GHz)

CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220 X2 2x120

Mobo: Z170 ASUS Deluxe

Ram: 16GB G.SKILL F4 DDR4 3200 C16

Case: 760T Corsair

HDD: Seagate Firecuda 2TB

ALSO think temps would a lot higher since I would be doing aircooling or stay around the same? My temps are 18-20 Idle with Swiftech H220 X2 2x120

Your temps are going to be about the same and does it sound like a grinding noise?

Check out the Dark Rock 3 (non-Pro) it is literally within 1-2 degrees of the Pro version. Hard to believe looking at, given the Pro is MUCH bigger and has an extra fan, but clearly there are diminishing returns with these coolers, so the Dark Rock 3 could be best solution if the RAM height is an issue. Plus it's cheaper. :)

System: Ryzen 7 5800X - Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master - Noctua D15S Chromax - 32GB 3600 RAM - EVGA Black 2080Ti

Ram wont be a issue?

Your RAM isn't that tall. The DRP3 is actually pretty good for RAM clearance, it sits pretty tall off the board.

If you've only had your cooler for 8months, it should still be under warranty. If it's making unusual noises, you could just get a replacement.

Not the rad itself, But you might need to move tubes around, maybe shove them bit too close to fan, unless you can turn it around 180 degree. Or get grill to that fan. As for RAM, you can lift fan up since case has space for it.
