Audio not working

Dear LTT community,

 

Sorry for spamming the forums recently, but this one is for a friend. So my friend's audio only plays when he hits "test" audio or when a windows related process is done (e.x. installing stuff). So far I have checked other forums but the best answer I can find is from 2008 for windows XP (he has windows 10). I still need to install new mobo drivers for him (no sound card). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

and install it.

Where is the "audio" he's using plugged into?
