I would upgrade your cpu. But to do so you need to upgrade the motherboard and your ram. Everything else looks good though. Maybe hold off till black friday to buy the collection, there are a lot of bundles around that time.

How much would a 1700 bundle cost?

I have no idea, wait for the deals to come. I got an i7-6800k 100 dollars off, the price of a 6700k. There are many deals for a motherboard and cpu all in one and sometimes ram as well, if I were you I would totally wait.

If you go with the build you mentioned in your first post, there's an issue: "Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update."

You may need a different compatible h81 cpu to update the BIOS.

With 450 Euro, check your local prices and get the following:

Ryzen 5 1600 processor

B350 chipset motherboard

8 gigabytes of DDR4 ram

If you want to be nitpicky about how B350 boards aren't great for overclocking, consider the price. X370 will be better, but I don't think it's in your budget.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 @3.7ghz (1.3v) Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 GPU: Zotac Mini GTX 1060 Case: NZXT - S340 (Black/Blue) Mobo: MSI B350m mortar arctic

RAM: Team Vulcan DDR4 (2x4gb, 2666mhz) Storage: Toshiba 1tb 7200rpm HDD, PNY CS1311 Sata SSD (6gb/s) PSU: EVGA - BQ 500w 80+ Bronze semi modular

Also how does 1600 handle 4k editing?

I don't have any 4k content to edit, but I'll say this:

It is just as good as any X99 6 core for Video rendering, and encoding as long as you are not encoding in H.265 (Use H.264 instead).
Also, compared to X299 it's not so great.

That being said, if you compare it to it's Intel price equivalent, the i5-7500, it looks like an absolute beast.

Just let me know what program to use, and give me a video to render so you can compare how long it takes to render on your current system, and I'd be happy to test it for you this weekend!

No, i will get a 4k video use handbrake to downscale it to 1080 and see how long does it take.
