Computer boot up problem?

Honestly wasn't sure where exactly this topic would go in. I do apologise in advance! 

I've built a gaming pc a few months ago, going pretty strong and loving it! 

Now every so often, when I cold boot my computer and sometimes when restarting, my desktop boots up and it's stuck on the republic of gamers logo. Only way to fix it is to restart the pc. 

Question is, what's causing the issue and how can I prevent this from happening again?

Does it have a loading logo? or just frozen?

It's basically this screen without that loading thing at the bottom. Just got this from google.

You can also try to spam f8, I think it is, to get to the advanced repair tools, and select "Refresh your PC", if you do not wish to erase data, or "Reset your PC" to erase all data and restore your system. (This is not guaranteed to work)
