New rig for home

So I am considering building a new rig for the house. Mostly used for gaming and general tasks. I want this tower to last for a few years without having to upgrade. I am putting two 1TB HDDs as I intend to put them in raid 0. I know the risks when it comes to losing data however I don't intend to store anything of great value on the raid. Most of my important data is kept in an external drive. The SSD would be my boot drive. I would be going from an old gaming laptop to a tower so I need a monitor and keyboard but I have a mouse. I like the fact that the Dell monitor has G-sync and is 1440p. I do intend to overclock my CPU and GPU. And my intent is to keep positive air pressure in the case with the extra fan. My theme is basically just black and white. I have been tinkering for a while with the build and would like some other opinions.

with the price of those 2 1tb you can get a 3tb drive

get a ryzen 5 1600 with the asus prime b350

While I understand that I can get a higher capacity drive. I have never done a RAID set up and I am interested in trying it. And a Ryzen build will only change the price about $10 dollars. And I won't benefit from the extra cores.
