Hey,

So I built a computer a bit more then a month ago and I'm experiencing some issues sometimes when I turn on the computer in the morning or when I come back from work.

Some of the things that I've had sometimes when booting up:

  • Bios boots in the safe mode
  • Boots in safe mode doesn't detect the SSD - when I restart the PC still doesn't detect it, when I turn the power button on and off on my surge protector and then trying to boot then everything works (tried to swap ports on motherboard cause i used SATA_2 but now its plugged in SATA_1 port) that didn't fix that.
  • Mouse or keyboard doesn't turn on even after a restart but when I plug them out and back in they work again - i think I've fixed that by changing USB advanced power settings haven't had that problem for a while.
  • Other odd thing is that when my PC is in the sleep mode if I plug something in (it depends what sort of device) the surge protector extension cord then PC turns on even if the thing that i plugged in wasn't on, this also happens if I plug something in the wall socket in my room (same place that the surge protectors is plugged in but other socket).

My motherboard has an LED light strip around the sound card area which has a pulsating effect (it stays on even when the PC is turned off) when I turn off the surge protector power button and turn it back on LED's are back on but doesn't pulsate until I turn PC back on again this doesn't concern me I just mentioned this just in case that's relevant.

Apart from these issues PC works perfectly well and doesn't have any issues while browsing the web or playing few games.

I've been thinking if I should upgrade the UEFA.

I have disassembled and reassembled PC's before, this was my first build brand new, will add GPU later on.

Thanks!
