Raw to DNG help

Okay I got it, all I had to do was change Jpeg preview to Full Size haha. Silly me.

So I have the Canon 80D and I'm trying to convert my 6000 x 4000 Raw to DNG because Adobe Lightroom does not seem to recognize it. When I convert it, the size of the photo stays relatively the same, but the dimensions get reduced significantly. For example, when I convert a 32 MB photo 6000 x 4000 pixels Raw to DNG, it becomes 28 MB 1024 X 683. Sorry if I sound dumb, but I'm still a newbie at this. Thanks!

Which version of Lightroom do you have?  It should be able to read 80D RAW files if it's been upgraded to the latest version.

Yea, but for some reason it doesn't...
