I'm planning a build and need a case recommendation.

Here's the current part list for my build:

PCPartPicker

I want a case with:

Tempered Glass window

Fits an EATX mobo

Optical drive slot (yes, I love my Blu Ray drive for ripping my movies, use it quite frequently)

Decent mounting for a radiator/pump combo (planning on the EKWB Fluid A240G for my first time water cooling)

BONUS: RGB that I can plug into the mobo for Aura Sync RGB goodness.

The only case I've found that meets those requirements is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M w/ TG. Any other cases out there that meet my requirements?

The optical drive makes this really difficult - could you get an external USB 3.1 ?

I guess I could..... but I already own the Blu Ray drive and I'm moving it over to the new build. I'd prefer to keep it. I know that's cutting out a lot of options.

If I did axe the internal drive, what would you recommend?

I don't think that Pro M supports your mobo

Ooh, looking closer I think you're right! PCPartpicker stated it supported EATX mobos, but looking at Phanteks' website it's only up to 264 mm and the Apex board is ~300.

Thanks for calling that out!!!!

There goes that idea.

There's a tonne of cases I would go with.

I personally use an INWIN 303 - See my "Temporal Snow Ryzen Refresh" for build ideas. (Would need a non EATX)

I also really like the NZXT 340 Elite, Phantek P400, Phantek Enthoo Evolve M (would need to change your board)

I'm locked in with the processor and mobo choices. I'll be able to purchase them as a package deal for $320. I'd normally go with a smaller build, but with that good a deal I'll have to step up to something a bit bigger. Stuck with EATX this time.

PS: Your "Temporal Snow Ryzen Refresh" is absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for the recommendation. The specs don't list support for an EATX mobo. Did you fit one in somehow?

I got an Asus TUF Sabertooth FX990 3.0 mobo because I tend to be a little rough with them.  I really like this mobo but it is somewhat on the high side with cost.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/TUF-SABERTOOTH-990FX-R3-0/

The actual case that I got is the CoolerMaster MasterMaker 5t.  It has a LOT of room in it.  I got it for the room and the USB 3 on the front panel for one thing and another is for the room because I want to add an AIO 280 next month.
