pixie dust and a usb port i have no idea you are going to have to wait for someone more qualified to answer this question

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

bit of a long shot and no way to prove it one way or the other, but is it possible it was happening before and you just never noticed until you switched and switched back?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

uhg no way, it's loud and clear on my old headset, no way i would'nt have noticed that before, i am way too harassed by it.

and it's pretty much a direct link, plug-in new headphones, hear static, plug old ones to see the difference, hear static too, hey hi static, you were'nt there before... so yeah... i don't know what happen but it seems my new headphones broke something...

ok, I suppose it's possible something just coincidentally broke...

Do you have another audio port you could try?  Like a rear vs front?

yeah tried in both, static is in both front and mobo ports.

I noticed you said "now i plug in the headset i was using before and it does it as well"

being that the SPH9500s are just headphones with no mic, is it possible they were detected differently and some settings were changed?
