So my friend's pc died on a blackout and when he restarted his PC his display port doesnt detect anything from the VGA but when he plugged it to the display connector on the motherboard, it did connect perfectly. After that he unplugged again and both of his ports are not working at all. can someone tell me how to fix this ? ty

And he actually connected to the Intergrated Graphics port which is kind of crazy for me since he cant even activate it. its a prebuilt Dell System

the integrated gpu will always work for boot, except if you disable it... If its a prebuild there is probably no way for him to try another pci connector on the motherboard... If there is a second one he can try reseating the gpu in that socket. the next step would be to put the gpu into another system to see weather the gpu is dead. Usually with power surges the motherboard will fail, not the gpu...

But can I ask what really happened since now the intergrated gpu didnt display anything. And strangely it happened after he unplugged it and plugged it again.
