Power Supply?

My friend is doing a build with a 1060 6gb and a 1600x and he wants to know if he should get the EVGA SuperNova g2 650w or 750w.

The 550watt will be fine.

Just read at Nvidia site but I kinda remember you will need just around 550W PSU and a 6pin cable

they always over-estimate though, just so they can't be blamed if someone uses a psu too low.

Realistically you could run that system on a 350 watt psu, but it'd be cutting it very close.

The system as outlined draws less than 350W.

 

Corsair CX450M, SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze, SeaSonic SSR-450RM, SeaSonic SSR-550RM, SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 550 Gold, and EVGA SuperNOVA G3 G550 are all pretty good. The G3 is probably the best of the lot.
