The most recent "big" issues I've had happen are:

1. BSOD, clock_watchdog_timeout.

2. Lots of artifacting, freezing, and just general crashing then restarting.

3. I would think this is the biggest thing, which was a freeze, then a crash, followed by beep codes for my system (7 short in a row), which apparently means a CPU failure. I have all my specs in my signature, and my temps and clocks are good and stock, respectively. Thanks!

buy a new mobo as yours appears to be dying

get one that matches your current lga1156 socket and form size and it should be just a parts transfer

Maybe a mobo failure, or cpu.

The beep code means a CPU failure, but would a dying motherboard really "make" artifacting?

yup cause mobe has dying capacitors so they do not send enough energy to cpu

think car battery that cranks really slow

I thought that the GPU caused artifacting? Also, could that apply to my GPU getting LOWER performance when overclocked?

if cpu is not getting enough power then gpu is not getting the mathmatic results in time for frame to be displayed thus gpu guesses

and yes gpu poor performance will happen from under performing cpu

some instances the cpu will likely have to do work 3, 4, 5, or more times

How do I know this is happening? Clocks look fine...

multi meter set to capacitors voltage

black lead to mobo ground

red to caps plus side leg

measured voltage divided by cap listed voltage gets decimal number

you do not want this below .85 with know good psu

also what i could find on your mobo lists i5 upto 650 range

not i5 750

could be bios issue as well

note i7 750 is listed good

so maybe bios trying access cores that are not there which also pump out bad cpu code

It's a typo. The i5-750 came with the system when it was bought by the previous owner by Dell, and the i7-750 is not a real processor. Dell wouldn't put a "bad" CPU in one of their prebuilts.
