Hey, i want to get a Kraken X62, will put it in a View 31 TG. Now my question is, if i mount it in the front, do i need to remove the 3 front fans? Or can i have those there + radiator on top, or will that block airflow or stuff? So that also make me be able to add 3  x 120 mm fans on top of the case.

Does that work?

You can keep the case fans there but you'd be better swapping them out for the included fans with the X62 as they're static pressure and will work a little better with the radiator.

I think i might be misreading your question(im definitely not understanding it) are you asking if you need to remove the fans to have the radiator installed?

The front of the view 31 has 120mm fans. The kraken x62 is a 280mm radiator taking 2 140mm fans. You would have to mount it on the top unless you wanted to swap the 3 included front fans for 2 140mm fans.

I want to know, if i can keep the 3x 120mm fans in the front, and from the inside add the radiator on top, or if that would kind of block airflow or something.

Ive seen people add Radiators on top of Front case fans though. Thats what i mean, if that'd cause problems or if thats fine aswell.

Thats perfectly fine to do. you're meant to use fans with a radiator, how else would air get pushed through to cool the fins(which in turn cools the liquid inside)

I know you mount fans onto the radiator, but i meant fans onto radiator and then radiator onto the front fans. Like

Radiator | Front Fans

Still perfectly fine. It doesn't make any performance difference on how you set them up.

Okay so Fans | Radiator | Fans in the front, would be fine then?

Would be a bit overkill as having a push+pull setup compared to push or pull doesn't make much difference.

But if you have the fans for it, might as well I guess.

Well, since i use rgb fans, and theres no 360mm that covers leakages, i'd put 3x 120mm on top and that basically 5 on front, so rgb everywhere lol

Your fan sizes are going to be the wrong size. You need either a 360mm radiator or a 240mm NOT 140mm NOR 280mm. They will NOT fit in the front of the case with the included fans.

According to thermaltake it supports 1x 280mm radiator in the front, so hm? and 3x 120mm fans at the front, top too

But not the 3 120s in the front at the SAME TIME of the 280 also in the front. You could move the front fans to the top and put the 280 in the front BUT putting the 280 in the front does SOMETIMES give better temps and you will be able to keep the 120s in the front.

No they dont... The top will look cleaner and you wont see the radiator as easily as the front would. You can still get 140mm RGB riing fans for that too :D
