What headphones?

I game a lot and I'm asking for headphones for christmas, I like open headphones

I have looked at HD558's and I am nearly set on them but just wanted to ask if they are good, also I am getting a sound card - Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 Sound card but don't mid spending a bit more (same applies for headphones if necessary)

So what headphones (>£150)

Soundcard (>£50)

Also I am planning on getting a Blue Snowball Mic is it good?

Thanks

If you want a soundcard, get a cheap ASUS one. Can't go wrong and unless you are a hardcore audiophile, you will barely notice the difference between a 20£ and 50£+ soundcard.

And yes, the blue mic is good.

Err...being an audiophile doesn't magically make a sound card better.  No, sound cards are crap, especially cheap ones.
