Static in Headphones While Using Mic

Hey ya'll.

 

I'm currently using a Razer Kraken USB, and I've realised a weird issue where there is a static noise in my headphones, only when the microphone is being used.

When my microphone is disabled/not being used, there is no static noise.

 

I would appreciate any help! Thanks.

Try a different USB port.

I've tried the front, back and keyboard ports and unfortunately still is happening!

 

Tried a different USB headset and it still happens, so it seems like something to do with my computer.

Doesn't happen with headsets that use 3.5mm ports though.

sounds like the problem then is likely your motherboard. If its happening with multiple headsets... try on a diff computer. If fine, then the motherboard is at fault and likely bad isolation on the sound path.

Ah, well then I guess it is my motherboard. Would replacement be the only solution?
