I just bought a Lenovo Thinkcentre M72e Tiny from a store that sells off lease business computers. When I went into the BIOS, I get a message that says that Computrace is enabled.  I called the number several times and asked them to disable it, and they said they can not disable it because it is permanently enabled. The system is not stolen and I do not use it for anything illegal, but I do not want any software that tracks what I do or where I am and sends it to any company. It does not even seem to be doing anything, there is no process running in Task Manager, or any other indication that it is running. How can I tell if it is even doing anything? If it is not, I do not care if it is enabled. I tried flashing the BIOS and it did not work. There is no setting to disable it.. I do not know what else to try. It might be easiest to just buy a new BIOS chip and solder it in. Any suggestions? Thanks.
