Nah, but if you want to scan your system.

Okay so I was making my windows 10 look like mac, I downloaded this file from zippyshare but it was just a .txt saying a code that I needed to lock my desktop.

That video. Anyways I went to download it, but all of a sudden my chrome crashed. I don't think the file I downloaded was ransomeware, but my chrome didn't respond. I quickly went into task manager and ended chrome. When I got back on I went to history to go back to the video and this came up.

Yeah, get yourself some anti-viruses (avast, is one that comes to mind), Malwarebyte, and adw_cleaner, and you should be relatively safe.

Also, you want to reset your chrome completely

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

fake virus alerts commonly abuse multiple javascript functions to crash a browser, including abuse of the history API (more info)

it works against safari quite well, and can also crash chrome. (if you really wanna try it out go to crashsafari.com)

it quickly spams the history.PushState function, filling up Chrome's history quickly and leaving the browser trying to deal with all of it.

idk
