Mic setup what you think?

Hello from Sweden Linustech team!  

 

I suck i have not sound skill. I am in bad need of help. 

 

I got a Beyerdynamic dt 990 premium to power his Hegel usb dac. I love the combo i can bring it with me on my laptop. Or sit at home watching movies. 

Here is the big problem i have to good mic. The one i got i think was like 5$, every time i stream or talk on skype. Every one is hating on my bad sound sound. 

 

A friend did give me a XLR mic Shure sv100 and a behringer mixer that was part of his old setup for a few bucks. The issue is the mixer is broke. And i don't want to spend cash fixing it. 

Also i don't even think i need a mixer. All i want is a setup that works with my USB dac. But like plug and play for the XLR mic. But budget is low as you can get it. It really helps if it plug and play. 

 

I did some googling found a few blogs some of them recommended something like a ART USB Dual Pre Mackie Blackjack. So this is like a mini mixer but only for the mic? 

What do you guys recommend? if you had a stand, xlr mic and the head set and dac i got?  

 

Sorry if am a bit lazy and just asking here. But i have no god store to ask in where am at.

Since you are using a Dynamic mic, you can use this cable here and skip the mixer. Costs 9 dollars in the US... and another shout out to Podcastage for having the answers to all the weirdest questions.  

 

Note for those that dont want to watch the video, this does NOT work with condenser mics.

That is not a bad idea thank you for that! a bit more expensive for me but we have stupid tax on everything we buy here.
