Installing windows- Invalid key!?

I just built my first pc and I am beginning to install windows on to it. I entered my windows 10 key that I got from the card that came with windows. ( I got the full retail version with usb drive ) I type in the code multiple times but it says the key is invalid, what do I do?

He's got the retail version with the USB drive... do those usb drives come loaded with Pro and Home from MS?
