Ethernet internet problems?

Go to solution Solved by xitywampas,

Replace "192.168.100.1" with "192.168.1.1" and try again.

Hi there, I think I'm having trouble with my ethernet port because last week my internet was working fine because I was getting low ping on rainbow six (low ping for me is 90-110 running vdsl 10mbps) and my discord chat shows my connection to my friends when i'm chatting is at 3 bars (Best connectivity rate) but now I have noticed that my ping on rainbow six is now more than 150-200 on average, I get 1 bar of connectivity on discord, there is a red light on the bottom right hand side with is constantly on and there is an amber/orenge light that is constantly blinking on the top right side of the ethernet port. I've tried taking out the cable from the port on my pc (Motherboard model is h110M-a/M.2) and I tried taking it out of the modem port, resetting the modem and changing the port. None of these things seemed to be working and i'm wondering if theres something im doing wrong? I really would like my good/decent connection back. someone help me out please.

Click start, search "cmd". Right click result and run as admin.

Type "ping 192.168.100.1 -n 20" hit enter it may return null results but it should ping your modem 20 times. If it's over 2-3 ms you may have a problem on your end. If not its your ISP.
