Architectual differences. Cores and Clockspeeds do not determine performance. Architecture says everything. Theoretically a 1Ghz CPU (with an architecture built around single core performance and supported software) could achieve just as much as 1 Core of a modern 5Ghz CPU, although it isn't practical.

the FX 6300 is basically 3 cores with 2 modules,means no hyperthreading or anything

 

and it has aged a lot,thats what happens to old tech
