G4560 vs FX-6300

can someone explain, why the heck the duo core Pentium G4560 shows similar/better performance over the six-core AMD FX-6300?

The FX-6300 has higher multithreaded performance, the G4560 has much higher singlethreaded performance.

 

Many workloads are more dependent on singlethreaded than multithreaded performance.

Architectual differences. Cores and Clockspeeds do not determine performance. Architecture says everything. Theoretically a 1Ghz CPU (with an architecture built around single core performance and supported software) could achieve just as much as 1 Core of a modern 5Ghz CPU, although it isn't practical.

the FX 6300 is basically 3 cores with 2 modules,means no hyperthreading or anything

 

and it has aged a lot,thats what happens to old tech
