How to paste code into a eclipse project and make it run

hey thx for the help. ive been learning java for about a week not and sometimes i want to test someone else's code so i copy it. then ill paste it in and then there are a bunch of error so if fix the possible ones but other than that there are errors and the run button is set to the wrong class and its a nightmare.

You need to make a new project and make a new class with the same name as the one in the code then remove it all and paste the new code.

When I learned Java, wern't allowed to use an IDE like Eclipse.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170-A, ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB Samsund 840 Pro, Seasonic X series 650W PSU, Fractal Design Define R4, 2x5TB HDD

Hypervisor 1: Intel Xeon E5-2630L, ASRock EPC612D8, 16GB DDR4 ECC RAM, Intel RT3WB080 8-port RAID controller plus expansion card, Norco RPC-4020 case, 20x2TB WD Red HDD

Other spare hypervisors: Dell Poweredge 2950, HP Proliant DL380 G5

Laptops: ThinkPads, lots of ThinkPads

then how did you run it

What I mean is we weren't allowed to use a program with features such as autocomplete, etc.  We had to do all the work ourselves.  We used jGrasp, which I suppose is technically an IDE.

Did you declare all the values& the parts before the code starts? Are you using the same complier?

Like you import java.util.*; and other things like that. Also a compiler is what you use to run the program.

yes i know what a compiler is and the thing with java.utils is that lately i cant import them or  dont know how to in the newest version of eclipse

i switched to sts and its working fine now so ill just leave it thx for the help eh!!(i couldn't think of anything special to oakville)

lol i thought u might ask its a bell business line i can dig out the fiber cable from under my house
