Hello,

After running a few benchmarks I noticed my APU was getting extremely hot, around 97°C, and AMD's website says 72,4°C is the maximum operating temperature. My case has a good airflow and my Hyper TX3 Evo should keep the APU cool. I'm not even using the onboard graphics. What can I do to bring temperatures down?

What I've tried so far with no success:
- Reverting overclocks
- Changing thermal paste
- Replacing the TX3 Evo with my friend's Hyper 212 Evo (this did help a bit, but only a few degrees)

Thanks in advance.
(I apoligize if I've posted this in the wrong subforum, I didn't see a subforum for overheating problems)

APU: AMD A10-7850K @ 4300MHz (107W)
GPUMSI GTX 970

MOBO: ASRock FM2A58M-VG3+ R2.0

RAM: 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws

are you sure the software that you are using is accurate? sometimes that isn't the case. the only other thing that I can think of is delidding, maybe somehow the contact between the CPU die and the heatspreader isn't good. but you shouldn't try that first, because it is risky

I have measured the temperatures using HWMonitor and CoreTemp, both showed the same values. I'd rather not delid beacause I'm not into that stuff.

forgett the temp that u see there. Those chips have digital temp measuring and thats extremely inaccurate
