So I'm buyin gthis used PC that has a r9 390 (I know it's pretty much a 290 that was factory overclocked) and I was searching some stuff on gpuuserbenchmark and out of curiosity compared the 390x to the 390 http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-R9-390X-vs-AMD-R9-390/3497vs3481

How is just a bit more performance worth 90 usd? Also I'm pretty sure people started trolling in the cs:go 390x benchmarks, 20 fps, really? (Either that or their PC's were about to melt)

Oh. I thought fully unlocked cores would be a major difference tbh ._.

Just compare the spec sheet. Cut down GPUs can be from a little to a lot slower than their fully unlocked variants (sometimes even faster) depending on how much of the GPU is fused off.
