When my friend boots up warframe a message comes up saying insufficient video memory. The game then prevents him from playing the game.
Sometimes it boots up properly with no problems but that is very rare. He has a nvidia 600 series graphics card with 1Gb of vram so it cant be that.

He is also running windows 7 64bit.

If anyone has had this problem and/or knows a fix could you please tell me thank you.

1Gb of VRAM will be very limited so to speak. I also want to download Warframe but my GPU won't be able to handle it. Driver problems maybe? Possibly uninstall then re-install although that is just long as heck. Check the updates.

.

The graphics card is shit, 1GB VRAM is capping him, I recommend everyone to get the 3GB video cards so 1GB isn't going to get him anywhere.

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

The Vram most likely IS the issue. Not sure how you came to the conclusion that 1GB is more than enough. I've got a 2GB 670 from Asus. In my experience, no game other than skyrim really uses the full 2GB (modded to all hell of course) but I see it above 1GB quite frequently. Tell him to lower the texture quality. The best card available in the 600 series with 1GB of Vram is a 650Ti which actually isn't a very powerful card.
