There's an m.2 slot below the first PCIe lane, so you'll probably have to take your graphics card out to install it, but it should work.

DELETE! DELETE!

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Silence will fall.

PSU Tier List - I keep forgetting where this is so I'm going to leave it here.

is the m.2 faster tho?

NVMe is faster, M.2 is just a form factor, the 850 EVO SSD still uses the SATA communication protocol, so it will perform the same as the regular SATA version.

The 960 EVO is the NVMe version. Bear in mind that NVMe is faster for sequential read/writes. Things like booting, OS use, gaming, media consumption will all perform the same on SATA as they will on NVMe as they're random read/write reliant, which is about the same between NVMe and SATA versions. NVMe is good for large transfers of data or multiple sequential transfers going at once. If you're not moving large files around or loading them into memory (production/media creation applications) often, NVMe isn't really worth it.

Here's the 960 EVO 500GB. It's a bit more expensive than the 850 EVO. It is also compatible with your system BTW, though don't go with it just for the sake of NVMe if your use case isn't going to benefit from it. You'd be better off saving $40 - $70 and going for a regular 2.5" drive in that case.
