So my sister needs microsoft office on her mac and i would prefer to get a physical copy if possible over digital download due to our net being crap at not even 1 MB a sec at the moment.

1. If i find a physical copy for MACs can i put it in my windows PC and share the D drive and install it over the network as herMac Book pro does not come with a DVD drive?

2. I've noticed they say only 1 PC or MAC but can it still be put on multiple computers/MAC's if i uninstall it off the machine?

3.If by damn i have to get the digital download, how big is the download? It says it needs 6GB off HDD space but i found thats after removing compression isn't it?

We are currently looking at these 2.

Don't go with CD Version if her Mac don't have a drive for it...

The most "Physical" boxes of Office nowdays is just a box with a Keycode inside you have to validate online anyways...

Q: How many prolog programmers does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: Yes.

If it would help her get it faster i'd rather physical but it doesn't seem to be the case does it? Guess she's gonna have to download it.

Didn't answer my other question though. There is no MAC or Windows DVDs right? They can both read the same ones? So if i did happen to find a physical i could just put it on my PC and install it via the network? I can access my D: drive from her mac.

No i mean in terms of the network over DVD thing, i know you answered my main question, sorry i didn't make it clearer. Have you tried it? And if she happens to upgrade to a newer model of Macbook, will she have to uninstall office before installing it on the new one? Or can she ring up a number to transfer the license kinda like Windows OS'?

Once you activate the link it will be forever linked to the account activating it, you can move the "Account" between multiple pc's but only x numbers of installations at once

Ah so it's like the windows activation with their keys right? New computer transfer it over then by contacting them. Yeah we got it, sorted it out. Thanks for your time. Thread can be closed.
