Are you using vista. It Looks like it but i am not sure. If so the problem is Vista. Vista had a lot of issue with sleep mode. mostly with get it to wake back up but sometimes just getting to work. Odds time it would even BSOD on 100% stable systems . I would use hibernation or shutdown. If not do you have a wireless mouse or keyboard ?? If so sometimes the mouse or keyboard communicating with the receiver can cause it not to go into sleep mode as it thinks there is a active device.

No I am using Windows 7 and I have wireless keyboard but in BIOS I set to wake up only by BIOS that means with power button and all other wake up methods are disabled.

And after restart it sleeps normally.

probably something to do with the energy settings in windows itself.

you can choose if you want high performance or more energy savings .

you can also choose advanched on a energy profile and customize settings, like the monitor .

if you ask me , you dont want to use sleep modes or C states on a overclocked Desktop PC.

sleep modes are nice for people with Laptops and tablets.

And besides the best energy saving option is the OFF button.

Graphics cards don't seem to like sleepmodes either .

if you ask me again . it does more bad then good.

so if i were you ,i wouldn't mind the damn sleepmodes .

i would rather kill all sleep modes on Desktop PC.
