Opendns website blocking not working

Hi, I was trying to set up open dns blocking but the open dns blocking doesn't seems to work at all although I've verified that I'm using open dns on the asus rt-ac68u. I've set up an open dns account to set what I want to block. The isp provided private ip address ( but can change to public at request). Does open dns requires public ip and also does open dns was able to block https encrypted websites?

Make sure the DNS on the device is set to the ones they give you

Just keeping this here as a What do you mean by private IP address? Like your router is behind a larger NAT?

 

If you changed the DNS settings through your DHCP server, you will have to renew the DHCP leases on all your devices. If you don't renew your addresses, they will still use the old settings.

My isp is actually maxis 

 

Just attempted to renew lease on the iPad wifi settings, went to its website and opendns seems to go through on its website with sever identity error image.thumb.jpg.8839226b5b8e5e2bbd576a6f88293047.jpg

 

But the mobile app still able to go through for some reason
