i have an ideapad y700 laptop which packs a 6700 hq and a gtx 960 m 4gb , 16 gigs of ram
i recently download W2K17 and with all setting as low as they can get i only get 45~48 fps
i made sure  that the dedicated gpu was the one running and the power plan is set to maximum performance and i even unchecked the option in nivida ge force program that is beneficial to the battery of the laptop
could there be something wrong with a setting i have !! .  cuz i looked around the internet and lots of people with the same cpu and gpu get alot higher fps at higher settings

Have you...

  • Updated drivers
  • Checked to see if it's your GPU bottlenecking and not your CPU
  • See if your PC is majorly thermal throttling
  • Check to see what API you're using (idk about this one, but they may be playing on a more efficient API)

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Check them thermals dude, you could be throttling and eating up the performance of the laptop. You might have some kind of malware or virus affecting performance as well, so make sure you do a scan on your laptop. Good luck with the situation.

i do scheduled scans with avira and malawarabytes
the cpu thermals are good .. how can i monitor the gpu's during gameplay ?
