My first Build

Go to solution Solved by Armakar,

Don't buy that PSU, it's garbage. Get something like an Corsair RM500X or an EVGA Supernova 550. That PSU has been known to fail quite a bit.

Those fans are VERY, VERY loud. I bought them and jesus christ they they are a rocket, I replaced them with Be Quiet! pure wings 2 and Corsair AF120 Red LEDs, far, far better and not that much more expensive. Seriously, don't buy those fans.

Also, you haven't listed a CPU cooler. I assume your going with Ryzen stock cooler? If so, I'd reconsider. The 1700 is a great bargain but only because it has the potential to overclock to nearly the same performance as an 1800X - your not going to comfertably OC a 1700 very much with the stock cooler. The 1700 is a monster when you can get a big overclock on it. If you can afford it, get an AIO watercooler for $80-$100, or there are $25 coolers that give you great cooling like the Cooler Master Hyper 212.

They are the only things I think you absolutley need  to change, however there's a few other things you could change.
The SSD is okay, but there's better SSDs out there for similar prices from Samsung, HyperX Kingston and maybe Crucial.

The case is okay, but you can get some pretty great cases for not much more, take a look at the Phanteks P400S / P400S Tempered Glass for example.

Finally, the GPU is okay. There's again better brands out there for 1070's, like Asus, MSI or Zotac. I've never seen anything amazing out of KFA other then the Katana and HOF cards.

Make sure you think carefully about what you want to buy. Many people buy their first PC, cheap out on weird parts and regret it later.

Hey, guys, I wanna do, my first PC build but I'm not sure that all the parts I chose works  together

this is the parts list:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700
  • M.B.: Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3
  • GPU : 8GB KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 EX OC Sniper Edition
  • Ram: 16GB G.Skill Flare X Red DDR4-2400 DIMM CL15 Dual Kit
  • Case: Cooltek TG-01 Basic
  • PSU: 550 Watt Corsair CS Series CS550M Modular 80+ Gold
  • SSD: 240 GB Sandisk plus
  • HDD: 3TB from some company (I have it at home so I don't really know)

PSU is trash, case is pretty poor as well. SSD is meh. RAM speed is pretty slow, especially for a Ryzen CPU. I tend to aim for an X370 board with R7 chips, but the AB350-Gaming 3 is a decent B350 board, so that wouldn't be too bad. However, why R7? Will you be utilising it properly?

What's your budget?

What exactly will you be using the system for? What games/programs

What monitor(s) will you be using with this system?

Intel Core i7-4790k @ 4.7GHz | Asus Maximus VII Hero | NZXT Kraken X61 | 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro(Red) @ 1866MHz | 2TB Seagate Barracuda | 250GB Samsung 850-EVO | 2- way SLI Asus Strix GTX 970's @ 1500MHz | EVGA 750W G2 | NZXT H440(black/red) | 3x120mm Sharkoon Shark Blade fans(red) | 3x140mm Be Quiet! A little over budget but you could easily get an R5 1600, which would still be perfectly adequate and save 100 euros. Or, get a cheaper motherboard and save about 50 euros;

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/fPDzK8/asus-prime-b350-plus-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-b350-plus

The X370 motherboard gives you SLI support though, and is just a better motherboard.

If you do get the R5 and/or cheaper motherboard, you could get this better PSU instead;

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/9G7wrH/xfx-power-supply-p1650bbefx

and alternative RAM;

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/T9Gj4D/gskill-memory-f43200c16d16gvk

The prices on PCPP for all these is pretty accurate.

Intel Core i7-4790k @ 4.7GHz | Asus Maximus VII Hero | NZXT Kraken X61 | 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro(Red) @ 1866MHz | 2TB Seagate Barracuda | 250GB Samsung 850-EVO | 2- way SLI Asus Strix GTX 970's @ 1500MHz | EVGA 750W G2 | NZXT H440(black/red) | 3x120mm Sharkoon Shark Blade fans(red) | 3x140mm Be Quiet! Fair enough.
For the fans, like I said, you'll regret buying them. The Corsair AF120's look nicer, are built better, are far quiter and even have a brighter LED (and come with full length screws) and are $3 more expensive per fan.

The Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2 are the same price per fan, far, far quiter, far better build quality and.. their german, german people make Audi's and Audi's are nice.

Good luck shopping.

RM550X and EVGA Supernova's  should be around that price for gold rated PSUs.

If not, the supernova G2's defnitley will be around that price, as will the Corsair CX550M, which is also pretty good.
