Thoughts on my first build

This is my first PC build ever. I tried to keep it around 700. Any improvements I could make or thoughts you have?

Get a better aio, maybe a 4gb 580 instead of a 3gb 1060.

Looks awesome! Just a couple recommendations. If at all possible, I would go for a 6gb model of that GPU, but that's no biggie either way. You could drop the aftermarket cooler, and just use the Wraith Spire that comes with the processor, then use the extra cash for an extra 8 gigs of RAM. If this is a gaming build, that'll help your performance in modern games. Unless you're overclocking (which i'm pretty sure is difficult with a non-X processor, someone correct me if I'm wrong) you won't need the aftermarket cooler.

Use stock instead, got unlocked mobo instead, went for a bit cheaper case so you could fit a 6gb 1060 instead (3gb is a bit limiting).

I'm saying for price.  High speed ram obviously costs more and he wants to keep it under 700 so if you can find higher speed ram for not much more, it'd definitely be better for the system, but not for his wallet.

2400 Mhz costs 22 cents more (for Crucial Ballistix LT) https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/#s=402133,402400,402666,402800&sort=price&Z=8192001&t=14

and gives around 2% more performance

2800 Mhz is only $4 more too

Ditch the aio for now and buy the fastest ram you can afford for ryzen, look at the thread in my signature if not sure why

The X-series Ryzens are just clocked higher, the 1600 will OC just as much as a 1600X (if both are on the same level of the silicon lottery). The advantage of the 1600 is that it includes a stock cooler that allows for a decent overclock, so your don't need an aftermarket cooler right away.

I was too at first. I think the X-series is just aimed at extreme OCers who want the best chip, and can afford it (but the CPUs aren't binned as far as I know), or for people who want a higher base clock but don't want to OC.
