No, that seems fine. Might want to look into Ryzen though. I'm an intel guy, but AMD Ryzen looks good if you want something like an i5

I saw white light, and It's most likely overkill

You could save a fair bit of money by going 6800k if you don't need the extra PCIe lanes  (which you very  likely do not)
