Broken Java

So I've just reinstalled java for the 6th time and still no luck so forums it is. I've tried Java8u131 64 bit and 32 bit, and java7u65 64bit. I am unable to access the java control panel, and whenever i try to load the technic launcher for minecraft or the feed the beast launcher, they fail to load and leave an error on my destop. This is especially annoying because i'm unable to manage my switch which uses a java browser interface. Anyone got any ideas?
