FirePro for Mining?

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

It's not really about 24/7 use, that's a server thing not a workstation thing.  They're designed for high precision and error checking, as these things can destroy a 3D model render.  They're reliable in that sense, not in the "doesn't break" sense.  Mining is just about the hashes per second your GPU can do (IIRC) so there is really no difference here between a FirePro or its Radeon counterpart.  That being said, it's pretty much impossible to mine any bitcoins now for an individual.

Just curious about this as if I understand it right, the pro cards ie FirePro are designed to run 24/7, unlike consumer cards. I know they cost more, but would they get a better Khash/sec rate and benefit from the added reliability, or would the added price completely cancel out the benefits of the reliability?
