MSI VBIOS issues?

hmayr

Hello all

I recently went to a microcenter to ask advice about buying a 1080 TI, just out of curiosity to see what they would say. I was looking at the MSI Gaming x, since it seems like a solid card and i enjoy the aesthetic. However, the employee I spoke with told me that it was good to avoid MSI cards for the time being, as they sometimes have unreliable VBIOS, dependent on the system. I did some research, and I cannot find anything to actually back up what they told me. Should I be looking at other cards? Thank you for your input.

If there's anything I've learned from my time in the PCMR, it's NEVER trust store employees.

MSI cards are great.
