Multi-Display *Lag*

Right, I have an issue.

I'm running two monitors a 144hz and a 60hz one for gaming and the other for looking at media and use for extra web pages.

I'm running them in;

- 144hz DVI to GTX 980 (singe card)

- 60hz HDMI to GTX 980 (' ')

 

My issue is that when I'm watching video or any sort of higher intensive work on my 60hz display I see some obvious lag on my 144hz display. But this is not hardware lag because there is no fps change. It feels more like hz change?
