warthunder joystick

hello everyone,

I started playing warthunder not too long ago and now that I am starting to get familiar with the game I'd like to try out simulator air battles, but since those are not a lot of fun with only a mouse I will need a joystick.

 

has anyone played this gamemode? is it really worth playing? I heard that it is quite difficult, now I do like a challenge but it shouldn't be ridiculous. 

also, are there any good tutorials out there?

 

but what I really want to know is what I should look for when buying a joystick. what are important things to have, and do you guys have any recommendations?

 

edit: since I dont have a huge budget, the suggestions shouldn't be too expensive
