VRAM Amount

DudeHarv

Basically, using the site CanYouRunIT I have found I have 512mb of VRAM where the recommended minimum for the game I want to play is 1GB (Dawn Of War 3). I don't have a dedicated graphics card so I have to use the integrated graphics of AMD Radeon HD 8400. I haven't bought the game because I don't know whether it just won't run at all due to not having enough VRAM or I'll just have to put everything on the lowest settings to run which I'm okay with. Is having half the amount of VRAM alright to play it when it says my CPU is fine?

You will have frequent stuttering even at low settings the absolute minimum amount of VRAM you should have these days is 2GB.

How integrated graphics work... is if it needs more vram, it will access your main system memory as needed. But a lot more variables come into play when gaming on integrated.

What you can do is, buy the game on steam... and if it doesn't run well contact steam support and they'll refund your money.

I personally have done that for my laptop I used over the summer, thinking my laptop could run that game but it cannot..

best of luck. :)
