Hey ppl,

i have an old machine with an i3 530 that I sometimes use. In the summer it idles around 50°C and maxes out at around 83°C.

meanwhile the GPU never gets warmer than 65°C (Idle around 30°C). Room temp is about 28°C.

should I reapply thermal paste? It's been on there a few years I believe.... or will better case ventilation help more?

or can I actually run it at these temps without feeling like damaging it?

thanks in advance!

like billy said, change the thermal paste and clean your case/fans. Try adding (if there arent any) 1 fan from the from of the case and another from behind of the case to generate airflow

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...

I would love adding more fans but it's all cramped into an itx case rn :P i will probably just remove panels

edit: I actually made the temps drop a few degrees simply by switching the psu orientation around :P
