Scarlett 2i2 Distortion

So basically every now and then my Scarlett 2i2 will produce my voice as sounding distorted and robotic and will the same thing for my headphones. I figured out a way to reproduce this issue.

1) Plug in the USB from the Scarlett into my computer

2) Shut off the computer and remove all electricity (unplug the computer/flip the switch on the PSU)

3) Boot up the computer again

Doing this will make the distortion happen. To fix it, all I need to do is unplug and replug in the usb, which shouldnt be an issue in the first place.

Any tips on fixing this?

I do have fast boot on, maybe that is causing the issue. I definitely wouldn't mind turning it off if this issue will never happen again because of it. I will test it out once I reassemble my desk, as im changing my setup right now. Thanks for the quick reply, means a ton.
