3D Printer Nub Seeks Help...

Taswell

So I found a Prusa i3 printer on a flash sale for 150$ so I said fuck it 3d printers are cool I wanna try this shit out. and now I have it, but I have no Idea what any "best practices" are other than painters tape on the bed makes the prints not stick.

anyone know any useful tricks that would make my life easier?

I plan to setup octo-pi eventually because I hate the SD card method, But i have yet to figure out how the pi physically connects to the printer. (version 1: model B)

Through USB I'd imagine, the printer will probably have a type b, I'm guessing it's the anet a8 prusia i3 clone?

Yeah, That is the only thing i can think of. Im hoping my raspberry pi is fast enough for this task. A few other posts on the internet said this software doesn't run too well on the older pis

Tell me how it goes, I have the same pi don't know if it's worth setting up octoprint as I like to slice with simplify3dand I don't find that moving Sd card to printer too bad as it's right next to my pc.
