I'll check it out, what about a MSI Apache Pro with a GTX960M?

I only see XPSs and Latitude in stores near me

around 14-15.6" and ~2kg max

Would probably be fine, the Apache. Just double check the battery life.

Hello everyone

I'm looking for a laptop for college, I previously had bought a ASUS Vivobook A540SA not long ago actually and I feel like that doesn't really suit my needs..

I'm considering something around 14"-15.6", i5-i7 cpu, 8-16GB Ram, 128-256GB SSD (gaming is not a priority as I have a desktop).

What would you guys recommend for a starter in Computer Science? Thinkpad? MSI Gaming? Macbook?

Thanks

It depends on how beefy you actually need it to be for your classes. Like, are you using said laptop to run some kinda program or what?

I'm looking for something that doesn't "sweat" easily and can run whatever task and somewhat fast.

Right now just coding C and Html, sometimes Blender..

Eh, maybe one of the Dell Inspirons with a dedicated GPU then?
