whats the 980m like vs the 1060/1070 ie were abouts is its performance looking for something more powerful then a 1060 would a 980m be more or less powerful then the 1060

The 980m would be less powerful.

 

You do realise you're comparing a mobile chip to desktop grade chips by the way?

New laptops have full Pascal chips, I think that's what he meant

 

Op, it would be this:

 

980m<1060<1070

 

980m is 10 fps slower than a stock 970, while a laptop 1060 is about 5 to 10 fps faster than 970. Expect 15 to 25 more frames on 1060. For the 1070, expect more than 50% advantage than a 980m
