So with in the last week my computer has started to randomly start freezing when im not even doing anything on it.

Turned down my over clock still did it.

tried some other ram but hell it might be bad too IDK

Its just weird that its doing it when i havent been on it in a while.

All Parts are new but the ram...

I really dont want to have to start replacing everything since its all brand new but any ideas of what to try first?

Corsair Neutron GTX

8 GB of kingston which ill be updating when my Corsair Vengeance DDR3 32GB 1866MHz (4x8GB) gets here

2 GTX 660 ti in SLI

Also - try disabling any power saving - may be a conflict with some hardware. See if that helps.

Also - what PSU? a lot of "random" windows issues can actually be related to doggy power supplies...

I'm having the same problem, running windows 8 and all, just different parts.

But I think it may have to do with my hard drive, its getting old, (5 years lol) so it may just be that ist not responding. But who knows, there's a lot of trouble shooting that I still have to do.

(Oh and btw, I doubt its the RAM its brand new (Patriot Viper 8gig 1600), I have also tried different models with my board.

so in the power settings it was set to turn off the screen after 30 minutes... but when it froze it would always have the screen still on... might be the problem... so tonight ill leave it on and see if it happens again. all drivers are up to date so im good on that.

if its that power saver crap to turn off the monitor on windows 8 they need to fix that crap ASAP

FYI was running windows 7 on this computer before and this never happened.
