CPU utilization in PUBG?

Does playerunknowns battlegrounds utilize 4c/8t? I know it didn't when it was released but does it now? A friend of mine is getting fairly low fps and low gpu utilization (around 60% i think).

but it is easy for him to check. you can see utilization of all c/t in task manager...

i7 2700k and 16gb of ram

that should run pretty well. what do you mean by low fps?

idk specifically, but he gets lower fps than me with my 6700k and 1060 6gb

considering the optimization of the game, i dont think it is that surprising. In theory, he should get more fps with this game you never know. It does use most of my cores as far as I can tell. 

Just tell him to keep an eye on gpu and cpu usage and he will see what is bottlenecking.

 

I still wanna know what the low fps is...

just for reference, I get about 100-110 fps in 1440p with some drops down to 50s

my friend with 3570k and gtx970 gets about 55-65 with drops to 30ish i think
