New RX 580 audio issues

Okay so i brought a new RX 580 to replace my old GTX 960 the installation was fine and all except when i play games like Warthunder as a tank hen a plane flys over my head for example the audio of the plane flying over will get all choppy and cuts in and out but some other sounds are fine like my tank gun. 

I also play world of warships and the same thing happens with the music.

I have a Gigabyte Aorus RX 580 8GB overclocked to 1450Mhz on the core and left at 2000Mhz on the memory.

I have reinstalled drivers countless times and tried different cables.

Please help me.

Audio from headphone, speaker...?

Where are you connecting it to? Mobo, DAC/AMP, GPU directly?

Speaker straight to PC. Never happens with my 960

Update: tried the HDMI method still no luck :'(
