For motherboards, you need to think about what features you want out of it. For example, that motherboard has all four display standards which you may not want, a Realtek NIC (when you might prefer Intel) and only 2 USB 2.0 (as well as 4 USB 3.0) on the back. That said, it's a decent board and you can't go entirely wrong with it.

I would recommend the asrock extreme 4: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70902&vpn=Z77%20Extreme4&manufacture=ASRock

or the P8Z77-V LX (I myself got the P8Z77-V and I think it is awesome) http://ncix.com/products/?sku=69892

The extreme 4 is awful. It has D-Pak MOSFETs.

Sorry I did not know that the extreme4 has bad mosfets. Then I guess my recomendation is and of the asus p8z77-v boards (I got the p8z77-v and it's awesome)
The P8Z77-V boards vary from terrible to great.

The P8Z77-V LX is pretty bad (4 phase PWM)

The P8Z77-V is pretty good. Probably a bit better than an Asrock extreme6. (doubled 4 phase PWM)

The P8Z77-V pro is good. (doubled 6 phase PWM)

The P8Z77-V deluxe is great (doubled 8 phase PWM)

They all have decent MOSFETs. Not as good as the Gigabyte ultra durable 5 boards, but still good.

this is all sourced to Sin's Hardware's VRM list.
